Happy Bachelorette Week! As promised, I’m giving you guys some great ideas and tips to have a bachelorette party to remember, all week long! Today’s featured party is for the bridal party with a little extra umph – Paintball!
Paintball is a great idea for the bride who isn’t interested in cocktails and sashes reading “BRIDE.” If the bride wouldn’t be caught dead in a tiara and heels, this might be the perfect party! (Or even if the bride loves heels and all things shiny, but also loves to show her tough side)! I’ll be honest, this option is not really my style, but this bachelorette party from Bride Tide makes me a little tempted. If you’ve got some girls who are tough and down to get a little dirty, this is a great and unique way to celebrate the upcoming union!
What I love about this party is the idea of hitting up a thrift shop before paintball to pick out some of the ugliest bridesmaids dresses you can find. You’ll have a blast trashing the dresses (and trashing your friends)! Plus, think of all the great photos you’ll get! But maybe consider wearing the dresses over some thicker clothes. Remember, paintball can hurt – ouch!
Another reason to consider paintball as a party option is the bonding that is sure to happen. You want all of the girls in your bridal party to get along and be comfortable with each other as you’ll be spending a lot of quality time together – especially on the wedding day. And you know you’re not getting out of a paintball war without some serious bonding taking place! If you have teams, place some of the girls who don’t know each other well on the same team. Instead of having all of the cousins on a team and all of your college friends on the other, mix it up!
Remember: this may not be the party for every group of girls. Keep in mind all the bridesmaids when considering ideas for a bachelorette party. I know the party is ultimately for the bride, but it’s worth considering all the other people who will be in attendance. If you have one or two girls you think will be miserable, maybe turn to something equally fun but a little less intense. (Laser tag anyone)? Nothing ruins a good party like an unhappy partygoer. Don’t try to make this idea work for your group if you think it’s going to be a flop! Even if this is perfect for the bride, no one likes having fun alone!
